Old Writings.

Heh. I found this stashed away on my computer...

I wrote this over the summer. Then, as usual, I got distracted and never finished it.

I like it, though. Better than I remembered it. But I'm just gloating.

Check it.

-------------------------

I have lost it.

I have lost my eyes among the dirt, the crowds. I buried them somewhere in the rags that were once my clothes, but I lost them. I cannot find them, and I shall not attempt to find them. They are lost for good.

I have lost my ears as well. There were once attached to the sides of my head, draped with my robes and fine cloth. I guess they must have fallen off somewhere, but I shall not attempt to recover them. They are lost for good.

My tongue and nose are lost, too. They were here a moment ago, I swear it--Tasting the finest of foods, the eldest of wines and speaking the best of jokes and the greatest of philosophy. They must have been forgotten with the bread crumbs and stagnant water.

Maybe my tongue has not been lost. Maybe it just sits in my mouth and rots. Like my mind. My mind rots. My mind is wasting away with my body and my spirit. They rot as my will rots; as I lose everything.

I have lost my will to do anything but rot; to laze in the streets in filth and rags, to waste away with the rats. They pass by, looking down on me. I do nothing but sit and agree.

There will be no bowl in front of me; begging for help. There will be no bargains or pleas said. There will be no glances of helplessness. There will be nothing.

I shall sit and rot. I shall wait.

I have lost it.

-----------------------------

There's a lot more, but this is all I'm gonna post. Its not finished, and I've never liked showing people unfinished work I intend on finishing.

Maybe this next summer, I will finish it.

Anyways.

Till next post.
